Located in pocket plane adjacent to the Celestial Plane, this Plane is home to the Celestial Star Forge. Placed on a rock approximately 300 yards by 200 yard across, the Celestial Star Forge is tool used for crafting unique items. Powered by what appears to be left over pure creative energy, though limited in amount, holds great potential. The Celestial Star Forge Plane was closed off and abandoned for reasons still unknown and the Master Smithy, Balormore is currently the only known being to be able to run the forge. With his assistance, others may use the Forge, but Balormore is required for the Forge to operate.

Balormore looks human, though it is evident he is not. He looks like a man in his late 50's early 60's, somewhat muscley but not overly so, balding with a long white and gray beard.

The Forge itself is approximately 100 yards across. It has a long shaft that runs off one side of the rock. It seems to channel the energy that is found within the Plane, focusing it down the shaft where it is deposited into a pool surrounding the main work area of the Forge. It is this energy that fuels the Forge and creates the Forge Fire, allowing wondrous and unique items to be crafted here.

The Celestial Star Forge currently offers the following features:

  • +3 bonus on items crafted using the Forge.

  • For people who explicitly want to use the Forge with Balormore's help to craft items, they may take the Craft: Star Forger skill. When an item is crafted and a craft check made, a Craft: Star Forge check is made in addition. The base DC is 30 and for every time that is hit and exceeded by the same number (DC 30, DC 60, DC 90, DC 120, DC 150, etc.) an additional (+) ability may be added to the item. These (+)'s may only be used to purchase abilities for the item.

For example, you are able to craft a +7 weapon normally. The Forge adds +3 making it a +10 weapon. You are able to hit a DC 150 Craft: Star Forge check for an additional +5. You choose to give the weapon Vorpal which costs +5. You would essentially get that extra ability for free. Or you choose to give it Souldrinking which is +4 and Keen which is +1. These are bonuses on top of the normal crafting bonuses.

For example, you are able to craft a +7 piece of armor normally. The Forge adds +3 making it a +10 piece of armor. You are able to hit a DC 150 Craft: Star Forge check for an additional +5. You choose to give the armor Death Ward which is +1, Nimbleness which is +1 and Invulnerability which is +3. These are bonuses on top of the normal crafting bonuses.

  • XP costs (Primary XP) for creating magic items in the Forge are halved.

By folding the metal repeatably in such a way, while bathing it in the Forge Fire, you add an additional die of damage of it's type to the weapon. For example, if the weapon does 1d6 it would now do 2d6. You also increase the weapons Hardness by +2 and give it an additional 20HP by inch. This can only be done once.

By carefully bathing the God Slayer in the heat of the Forge while wielding their Anathema Weapon, it can be imbued with additional weapon abilities - if the God Slayer can survive the process. The God Slayer must be bathed in the Forge while wielding the Anathema weapon as the weapon is an extension of them, thus they are connected. This process takes 1 hour and the God Slayer takes 50 points of damage per round (damage type is considered Exotic: Forge Fire). If the God Slayer survives, then the Anathema Weapon gains weapon abilities of +1 up to +10 total on a Craft: Star Forge check base DC 15. The base DC is 15 and for every time that is exceeded by the same number (DC 15, DC 30, DC, 45, DC 60, DC 75, DC 90, DC 105, DC 120, DC 135, DC 150) an additional +1 worth of abilities may be added to the Anathema weapon. Only one Anathema weapon may be worked on at one time. Other Star Forge bonuses cannot be applied to Anathema weapons.

You can now create items within the Forge of a larger scale. Instead of standard crafting items that fit a medium to large sized beings, you can now craft reasonable items that fit into a 20'x20' space. This includes Golems parts, vehicles and the like.Time is still needed for crafting these monstrous pieces, but having the Foundry at this size reduces build times for such things by 10% as there makes large scale production possible. Getting the items out of the pocket plane is another matter entirely.
